CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Claude’s POV

The past… July 2004

I saw Victoria look up to the sky and noticed that the full moon shone brightly in the sky. I heaved a breath nervously and turned towards Victoria.

“Are you ready? It’s time” I told her, holding her hands. We stood up and made our way to the circle where we are going to shift.

“Where is she going to Alpha? Claude is meant to shift alone. It’s a tradition!” An elder asked my dad while referring to Victoria.

“She is family and today is her birthday so I can assure you that nothing will go wrong so don’t be worried,” he said to the pack and they nodded.

Victoria rubbed my hand in comfort and smiled which made me calm down a little bit. This is a huge deal for me because everyone is expecting much more from me since I am the soon-to-be Alpha.
