“Mum!” Cruella exclaimed but shook her head immediately. “I mean, Mrs. Styles.” She corrected. Cruella remembered the fact that Mrs. Styles never allowed her to address her with the title mom. She would remind Cruella every day that she was adopted. Cruella often wondered why she had even adopted her in the first place if she was going to treat her like a stranger afterward.

“You haven't changed a bit.” Mrs. Styles said it with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.

“What are you doing here?” Cruella asked with a frown.

“I had a daughter here, or have you forgotten?” Mrs. Styles asked, and her face fell as she did so.

“Had a daughter. Rose isn't here anymore, so what are you doing here?”

Mrs. Styles sighed, rubbing the back of her neck before responding. “Rose went missing a year ago. No one knows where she is.”

“And why are you telling me? If she had gone missing earlier than that, I wouldn't care.” Cruella said it coldly. Rose had made her childhood a living hell, and Cruella hated her
