Kira's POV

Spending time around Xander does have a long-lasting effect on me. I eventually gave in to Ayla push and went to him. Returning home, I felt a lot better. His words were assuring, and his arms were comforting.

I went to amber's assigned room to check on her, she was sound asleep. I sighed, sitting next to her, my sister looked so innocent. We haven't told Amber what the doctor said yet, to avoid halting her healing process.

Despite the number of arguments the both of us have had. I still love my sister dearly. I can't even think of the pain I had gone through when I lost them two years ago. That same pain had prompted me to count on Declan and Leila as my solace.

I must say it's been a lot for me having to talk to the people who are gunning for my ruin. I have no idea what I am supposed to do to wipe them off and not have to ever see their faces again. At the same time, curiosity got the better of me and I want to know what happens until the end.
