Xander's POV

I have never seen someone so excited to host strangers before, Amanda had prepared a feast and I almost thought she had been expecting our arrival.

“She does this everyday, ends up giving the neighbors due to excess leftovers.” Rosa had whispered to me.

Smiling lightly in response, I kept a bit of a distance between us. Kira's hawk eyes were practically following my every move. She would have my head if I keep being too friendly with Rosa. It was funny, though, I didn't expect her to act so jealous. It felt good at the same time, knowing she is quite possessive of me.

“Please, come sit.” Amanda beckoned to us.

She looks like someone in her late seventies, but you wouldn't know because of how she carries herself. Her gait is a rare factor in she wolves of her age. My belly roared in delight at the mouthwatering meals on the table.
