Ava Wilson POV:

"Where are you, Ava?!" The sudden scream of my name startled me as I emerged from the bathroom, fully dressed and ready. I turned my gaze towards the source of the voice, sensing that something was amiss.

"You bitch!" Austin's enraged voice reached my ears as he lunged towards me, grabbing my throat and leaving me in shock. I couldn't fathom what had just happened.

"Why, Austin? What are you doing?" I managed to gasp out, struggling for breath under his tight grip. Confusion and pain filled my mind as I desperately tried to remove his hand from my throat.

"Why indeed? I'm trying to teach you a lesson, you bitch. Can't you see? I tried my best to make you understand with love," He growled, his hold on my throat tightening further, robbing me of oxygen. I clutched his hand, desperately attempting to free myself.

"I don't understand, Austin," I pleaded, my voice breathless from his assault. I couldn't comprehend the sudden aggression towards me. "Why won't you believe me?
