Chapter One hundred and sixty five

"This..." Esme was momentarily speechless.

Harry heard the commotion and came out of the kitchen, leaving the half-cut potato shreds behind. "What's wrong? Didn't I ask you to bring some garlic from the balcony?"

Esme pointed to the crate of expensive 1980 wine on the ground. "Harry, this was all brought by Dominic."

Harry hadn't paid attention to what the young man had brought up earlier and had just left it at the entrance. Now, looking at the wine and then at Dominic, Harry felt that his daughter had probably found herself a rich second-generation.

"Don't bring such valuable things over next time. We're a small family and can't afford to consume them," he said.

Dominic suddenly felt that Kathy's parents were not as friendly towards him as before.

Of course, Kathy knew what was going on and was worried about it.

When the food was served, Esme and Kathy tried to ease the tension, but Harry still didn't like this rich second-generation young man.
