Chapter seventeen.

Xavier was utterly defenseless against Dominic's words. Every single thing they reported was undeniably true, without a shred of falsehood. Standing on the sidelines, Alexia interjected, addressing Kathy;

"Are you simply going to stand idly by and watch this man insult Xavier? Didn't you once love him? How can you now team up with others to bully him?"

Upon hearing Alexia's words, Kathy burst into laughter and retorted; "Alexia, have you lost your mind? Xavier and I have no connection anymore. Why should I come to his aid? I didn't even call the police, and that's already more than enough."

Alexia was left speechless and anxiously grabbed Xavier's arm, pleading, "Xavier, I'm the one who reported this news. It's just a ploy by the mall. If you want to retaliate against me, go ahead. I have plenty of secrets that you can uncover."

Xavier's intimidation no longer affected Dominic. Xavier was now helpless, futilely struggling but unable to achieve anything significant.
