Chapter twenty nine

While Dominic was engrossed in sipping his soup, Kathy was struck by a sudden, shocking idea - how wonderful it would be if she could always prepare food for him. The notion frightened her, and she set down her bowl. Why would she think like that so suddenly?

“Are you alright? Is something wrong?”

Dominic noticed her abrupt stillness and inquired.

Kathy's heart raced at his concern. One moment he was formal and strict with work, the next, he appeared so kind and attentive. She felt as though she couldn't catch her breath.

"Oh, I'm fine, just my head hurts a bit," she replied.

Dominic let out a deep sigh.

“You should take some time off from work. I'm afraid you might fall if you keep pushing yourself too hard.” He advised and she turned to look at him.

He rummaged through the item shelf and eventually set a box of plastic gloves in front of her.

“What are these for?” Kathy asked.

“These are protective gloves. Your hand is hurt so you can't get it wet until it heals. These might
