Chapter thirty four

The lights in the living room had been switched off, and the window stood open. The glow from the outdoor standing lamp seeped through the window, creating a chilly silhouette on Dominic's face and reflecting in his deep, dark eyes. Kathy couldn't help but feel like she was gazing at her reflection, and no one else's.

Leaning against the door, Dominic held Kathy tightly in his embrace. The pressure made her feel as if she were being smothered.

"Dominic, are you awake? Do you have a headache? Are you hungry?" Kathy sensed that something was amiss with Dominic's current state, so she cautiously inquired.

Dominic's warm breath brushed against her face, bringing them closer once again. He closely examined the person in front of him and eventually nodded.

"I'm not intoxicated. Would you like to stargaze with me?"
