AuroraMy heart skipped and my knees felt weak but outwardly I remained unmoved and composed. Aurora“Good heavens, Arne!" The wail escaped my lips once I caught sight of his bloody hands."What happened to you? How did you get injured? Didn't I tell you to not touch anything?” I bombarded him with questions as I rushed towards him to check his injury.My sharp tone and questions only made him flinch in fear and I immediately felt bad. I quickly took him to the bathroom and placed his hands under cool running water, fortunately the cut was not that deep or long. When all the blood was washed off, I took him back to the office and dried his hands with a towel.“How did you cut yourself?” I asked in a softer tone while I took care of his wound.He sniffled, “Sorry mom, I got bored and began touching your stuff on the table." Aurora“Don't worry Sam, she will be fine, I promise. I will speak to Aurora about hastening up her research and giving us something to start it." I heard him say as I got close to the throne room door.I took in a deep breath and exhaled, I knew it was my time to step in so I spoke up loudly, “That won't be necessary, I have found the cure,” I said as I walked into the room. Everyone turned look at me so quickly with disbelief written all over their faces. I wasn't surprised by the reaction, it was still a shock to me too, I never thought I would find the cure so quickly and in such an unbelievable manner. Ethan shifted I his seat and asked, “What do you mean? Did you actually find the cure?” he seemed to have spoken everybody's mind because they all nodded eagerly.“Yes, I have found the cure." I stated trying to keep a straight face then I took out a bottle for my lab coat and placed it on the table. Everyone eyed the bottle on the table with shock, disbelief and greedy eyes.

EthanI opened the door that led to my father's room to allow Aurora walk in and a few other people following behind her. Two elders from the council along with me, Sam, Mom and Hadria watched Aurora with hopeful eyes.I gave Aurora a go ahead with a nod and I saw her exhale before going to sit beside my unconscious father. She brought out a syringe and administered it into his arm, everyone's eyes were on her and the king, we were so focused as if we expected the man to suddenly come into consciousness and spring out of the bed.We have waited for this cure with desperation for so long that it was surprising.After she administered it, she proceeded to check his vitals and anything else necessary, all this while the room was quiet, only the sound from her working was heard.
