Leah's Pov

A week later,

Pain, pain

I slowly opened my eyes, wincing against the harsh light in the room.

As I tried to sit up, a searing pain shot through my shoulder, causing me to gasp and sink back onto the pillows.

"Where am I?" I whispered to myself, feeling disoriented.

Suddenly, Axel's voice filled the room, "You're awake," he said, setting a tray of fruits down on the bedside table.

I managed a weak smile as he sat beside me, concern etched on his face.

"How are you feeling?" he asked gently.

Nodding, I replied, "I think I'm at the hospital, right?" He nodded in confirmation, his eyes never leaving mine.

Looking at his face, I couldn't help but stifle a giggle as I suddenly used my free hand to cover my mouth.

Axel's furrowed brow showed his confusion. "What's wrong?" he asked, his worry evident. But I couldn't contain my laughter, which soon turned into a fit of uncontrollable giggles, causing me to grimace in pain.
