Three years ago

Things have been going perfectly fine with Susan and I. I can't believe we been together for just six months, it feels as if I've known her forever. I practically kneeled down before her and pleaded with her to move in with me but stubbornly refused.

A knock on my door brought me back to the stack of documents and files on my desk demanding my attention. The person at the other end does not obviously need my permission to enter because the door opened and in walked the master planner, my mother.

I stood up at her arrival out of respect. "Mum, you didn't tell me you were coming, is everything okay?"

My mother has the ability to make ordinary sitting down look classy, she dropped her Prada handbag on my desk before crossing her legs "I am here to actually see your father, so I decided to drop by and have a little chat with you"
