Persefoni

For a moment, I thought Canine was going to ignore what she saw earlier. I told her indirectly that I do not want to discuss the baby in the presence of these people, but she just had to ruin everything for me; now Gabe is never going to let me go.

“Persefoni?” Gabe growled. “Say something.”

Blinking rapidly, I tried not to glare at Canine. It will not only be rude to glare at a descendant of Morgana , it will be outright disastrous. “Can we do this later? In the absence of extra pairs of eyes.”

He didn’t like it, not one bit but he let it go, for now. Grateful for his understanding, I focused on Canine. “What do you mean this prophecy isn’t about me but my child?” They exchanged glances, communicating silently. “Say something!” I snapped and Logan quickly grabbed my hand reminding me of my place.

Sucking in deep breath, I willed myself to calm down. “I’m sorry for snapping at you, just that the tension and silence is killing me.”
