"Claire will not be happy about this." Penelope got out of the cab in front of the hospital and stared at it hesitantly.

She paid the driver and pouted, casting a sad look at her plastered hand. It was completely numb. She couldn't feel where the numbness ended or the pain started. Her whole arm was red and the skin around the plaster had become swollen.

Last night she mistakenly slept on her fractured hand. She didn't realize it until she felt excruciating pain buzz through her arm when she tried to lift it after she resurfaced from the depths of sleep.

It became worse with passing time. When it became intolerable, she decided to show it to the doctor.
