Alana’s POV

"Are you sure this is the right way?" I whispered to Alex as we walked through the dark tunnel. He was supposed to be our guide, but he had a cold and distant look in his eyes as if he were hiding something, and this only made me uneasy. I couldn’t help but wonder if he was leading us towards a death trap.

Walking in the dark was bad enough. We could hardly see anything beyond a few feet. The tunnel was dark and narrow, barely lit by some flickering lights.

The walls were damp and covered in cobwebs, and I could smell the musty air. The only sound was our steady footsteps, echoing in the silence. I glanced at Kai and Adam, who were walking ahead of me with grim expressions.

It’s obvious where their thoughts could be. They concentrated on the urgent and dangerous mission of rescuing our children from the ruthless Alpha Klaus. I wished I could share their calmness, but doubts troubled my mind.
