Xander's POV:

Lucas's hands were shaking with fright as his eyes traveled between me and Stella. For 100 years of his life, he must have thought about this very specific moment when he'll finally meet his fated mate.

For sure, things changed after he fell in love with Adeline but still, he must have constantly been thinking about the moment he was going to meet his mate and what he'd do after meeting her.
