Chapter 69: You can't cook

Selene placed her hand on the staircase to take a look at the man behind her. Logan's eyes appear black under the orange glow of the candlelight light, and his lips are parted slightly as he keeps looking at Selene.

“Did you have some fun today?” He asked after clearing his throat.

Selene swallowed the lump at the back of her throat. She was a little wary about the man, and something about him reminded him of Rayne.

“Yes, I did; it was fun in the theater house,” Selene replied, averting her gaze from his to look elsewhere.

“Okay. Where are you going? Are you running off with an expression on your face?” Logan asked, his back leaning against the railing of the stairs.

“I'm going to my room to freshen up and sleep,” Selene answered, wondering what he meant by her face.

“I thought you were hungry. You should go and sleep then,” Logan said as he walked past Selene.

He began to ascend the stairs, but Selene's voice rang in the room quietly.
