Damon's POV.

It was the second day of the council meeting and I was already frustrated about it.

The pack had been divided into two.

Those who still wanted me to remain Alpha and those who didn't.

There was no time for this, I understood that they didn't trust me as much as they did before Selene's betrayal. But this issue could be settled after the war that I could feel at the back of my neck.

Selene's father, Alpha of the west crescent pack was planning something, he had gotten the blueprint of our pack no doubt and was going to attack any minute.

But instead of preparing for war, the council was deciding whether I was still fit to be Alpha.

This was delusional and there was no way I could stop the hearing.

Once the council gathered like this, it was hard to convince them otherwise.

I took in a deep breath as I pulled open the doors to the court and everyone rose to their feet as I stepped in and silence filled the room.
