Chapter Fifty ~Hunting Lessons I~

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Where is she?" Leo whispered.

I sighed. "Under the shower."

"Will she be okay?"

My eyes twitched. If he cared so much, he wouldn't have left her sitting all alone. But I didn't want to add more friction to what was already happening.

"I don't know. And I wouldn't know, not when you keep me standing here speaking to you."

"Sorry." He let go of the door.

I closed the door and made sure to bolt it from within to prevent anybody from coming in.

When I went back, I met Gwen standing, her head resting on the tiled wall while both her hands held onto a pipe connected to the shower head. The water still trickling down.

"How are you feeling now?"

She tried to turn around as she heard my voice. "My head's spinning," she said. "Can't stand until I grasp onto something."

I felt a wave of relief as she spoke. She wasn't whining as she was earlier. Except for the lightheadedness though.
