Chapter Twenty–nine ~Mine~

The blaring sound made everyone in our class halt for a moment. The males knew what it meant. As a male in any of the four colonies, it was expected that you were a natural-born warrior.

For a male werewolf, there was no room for weakness. A female werewolf may be weak because she has her mate to protect her.

We understood this was a warning sound, the first of its kind since we came into this school. It meant there was an enemy or threat within the territory.

Everyone began to murmur about the possible reasons the warning alarm would go off, but they all stopped when Mrs Carter broadcast an announcement over the microphone.

As I was escorting Gwen yesterday, the scent I picked was of one feral. It was on my way home to inform my father that I picked another scent, then another. There were three.

One feral was bad enough. But three? That called for a disaster.

After I alerted my father. We agreed we weren't going to unnecessarily panic anyone. So he called the other three
