Theon’s body is missing?

I glance at the forest, searching for Rena. But she’s gone. A sigh escapes my lips. She won’t believe anything I say now. It’s my fault. I couldn’t tell her the truth all these years. But will she ever forgive me? I doubt it.

I turn back to Joshua. “How is that possible? He was executed right before our eyes. We even buried him.”

A lot has happened in these four years. Theon tried to escape prison, killing some of my men with a hidden weapon. Then he went after the twins, Drake and Dory. But I protected them. They’re safe now.

I had no choice but to execute my brother for his crimes. He was poisoned with wolfsbane, then buried in the pack’s cemetery. Despite being my enemy, I gave him a proper funeral.

Joshua’s voice cuts through my thoughts. “One of the cemetery guards saw it, Elijah. Theon’s tomb was dug up, his coffin empty.”

Worry knots in my stomach. “Start an investigation immediately,” I order. “Search the entire pack for his body.”
