Chapter fifteen

Devlin POV

We walked back into the pack house and all along my hand was wrapped around her waist and she didn’t say anything. From time to time, I checked her face to see how red it had become, and it tempted me to tease her more.

She was such a beauty and I couldn’t even think of getting my eyes away from her even for a second.

“I want her!” My wolf grumbled in my head as he tried to force himself out, but I didn’t let him. I wouldn’t want to mess up this opportunity that I have got just because of his urges. If I was able to control mine, then he should be able to bring his own under control too.

“Do you think I will be able to shift?” She finally said after a long while of silence and I snapped back to my senses.

“Huh? You don’t have to worry much about it. Take your time. I can see you are not certain about having a wolf.” I smiled.

“I have to prove to them that…” She paused, as though she was trying to think her words through.

It was hard on her. I could see right into her and sm
