Chapter 28: GOODBYES

I'm packing my bags getting ready to leave when I hear tiny footsteps running up the steps to my room.

The door opens and in walks my son. "Are we going somewhere daddy?" He asks walking up to the bed and climbing on it.

I leave what I'm doing and go and seat next to him. "Hey buddy, remember I told you I'd be leaving for a while to go find out some things for your uncle Killian."

He looks at me tears already welling up in his eyes and his little lips trembling. "Yea, but I thought me and mum were going with you."

Oh Goddess how do I explain leaving to my child that it makes sense he already grew up not seeing me all the time but now that he's growing up it's getting harder for him seeing me go.

"Hey buddy I promise you this is the last time after this, me you and your mum we'll finally be a family and I won't leave anymore and you can even come to the pack with me when I need to go there."
