Chapter 34 HE KNOWS

A nagging memory of the illicit ecstasy she had shared with Lucas in the cave's depths tore at Beatrice's heart as she made her way back to her safety of the blood pack. But when she turned to face Dylan, her concerns materialized as the weight of his gaze went through her like a blade.

"Dylan, I..." Beatrice began, her voice trembled as she searched for the words to explain.

But before she could say anything, Dylan's eyes clouded up with betrayal and hurt, stiffening his tone of voice. With a sharp edge to his voice, he interrupted, "I know what you did, Beatrice." He accused. "I can smell his scent to you!"

Beatrice felt a wave of shame for her actions rush over her, and her heart fell at the truth of what he had said. She begged, "Dylan, please," her voice stifled with passion. "It wasn't what you think."
