Mr James was taken aback. He managed to compose himself as though that didn’t come as a surprise.

“How did you get to find out?”

“Your little missy posts everything online.”

“Okay so – she is Ludwig’s daughter. And so?”

“Don’t act like you aren’t already scared. Lugwig is Rowan’s partner in crime, don’t you know? Who are you besides Lugwig?”

“I see the little game you playing here. So what are you going to do? Walk over to Ludgwig and tell him I’m fucking his daughter?”

“Why not? Oh, you just gave me a brilliant idea. This is why I like you – you talk too much for your age.”

“Oh no, you wouldn't dare tell on me to Ludwig. I know you hate me but not to the extent of causing my murder.”

“He may not kill you. You just may lose everything you threaten me with.”

“And all those things I may lose belong to you. So we both lose!”

“Not so, bad boy. I’ve got nothing to lose since the day I married you. Haven’t I told you I just want to see you miserable? I don’t have the mind to collect all I g
