Chapter fifty four

"You’re all useless, pathetic fools. She is missing; find her now!" I yelled angrily as I stood in front of the members of the peck.

My whole mind has been messing with me since I walked into Cora’s room and found out she wasn’t there. I had searched all the possible places I knew she could visit, but I still couldn’t find her, and that was getting me even more worried.

My wolf was kicking hard against me, not showing me any sort of mercy, and I wouldn’t blame it. His friend was in trouble, and I was the cause of it. I buried my face in my hands. Could she have escaped the pack? Could she have left because of what happened?

I shook my head. No, she couldn’t have. She would never do this, and Cora would never leave because of just a fight. She had to be somewhere around; she could not have gone far. I decided.

I was trying to give myself hope. Deep down, it felt like I was just lying to myself, but I didn’t want to admit it. I didn’t want to believe she was in any sort of pain.
