Chapter 44 : I Must Stop Thinking About Her
I sat at my desk for a couple of hours, trying to get some work done, but failed. I was just lying to myself that I was working, but all I had done was shove papers and pens around on the table, while my mind filled with images of Claire’s deep blue eyes and heart-shaped face.
I slammed my fist down on the table, causing the whole thing to rattle. I hated myself for making her cry, for forcing myself onto her the way I had.
There was no way I was going to get anything done. Claire’s delicious scent still lingered on my body, causing my head to spin. I strode into the bathroom, chucking my clothes off as I went. I turned the tap on cold, needing to wash the scent off of me.
I must stop thinking about her.
The shower did little to get my mind off of her though, the droplets dripping from the walls just reminding me of her shining tears as they fell from her eyes. She had looked so fragile as I had her pinned against her own bed, her lips swollen
