Gonzalo's POV

I headed home, the weight of the day's decisions bore heavily on my shoulders. The moon was now high in the sky, casting an ethereal glow over the land. The crisp night air seemed to cool the turmoil within me, at least temporarily.

Approaching my cabin, I noticed the door was locked, just as I had left it earlier. Unlocking it, I entered the dimly lit space. The familiar surroundings offered a sense of quiet , yet my mind was far from calm.

Teresa lay on the bed, still asleep. I hesitated, contemplating whether to disturb her sleep. The events of the day had left me emotionally drained, and I wanted to be with her. though my heart yearned for something more.
