Ruby's POV

 I pulled away from the remnants of the disquieting dream, a strange sense of vulnerability lingered. The room felt different now, the air a bit colder, a tad heavier with the weight of unresolved emotions.

Taking a deep breath, I pushed aside the discomfort and decided to start the day afresh. I rose from the bed, leaving Alpha Ralph in peaceful slumber, and made my way to the bathroom.

The warm water cascading down in the shower helped to wash away the lingering remnants of the dream and the conflicting emotions it stirred within me. Yet, a nagging doubt persisted, fueled by the events of the previous day and the unsettling confrontation with Elena.
