The urgency in Vincent's voice propelled me into action. Information had come to light that Alpha Ralph was absent from his pack, presenting a rare opportunity to get Ruby back.  My heart raced with a mixture of hope and anxiety; this might be the chance to make things right, to bring her back to our pack where she belonged.
