Five Years Later

“Mommy, mommy, when are we going to meet Daddy?" My five-year-old daughter ran to hug me as she saw Lily and me entering the hut. We had earlier gone to hunt for food in the woods, leaving Jessica and Shaman Magnus behind. We were all more like a family now. And I love being with these people; they are the most amazing people one would pray to the Moon Goddess to bestow on them.

I squatted in front of her, now at the same level as her. A small smile appeared on her face as we stared into each other’s eyes. I cupped her chubby cheeks in my hand and stared into her big blue eyes. She has long, dark, curly hair that is exactly like mine. She was the real carbon copy of me. The only difference between us is that she seemed to be a bit taller than her age. She is 4 feet and a few inches tall, an abnormal height for a five-year-old kid. She also seemed to have this kind of unusual strength. Maybe because she has the Alpha’s blood flowing through her.
