Chapter 97 : The Encounter

Kael, Alpha of the Lunar Pack, prowled the forest, his paws silent on the moonlit ground. His senses were on high alert, scanning for any signs of danger. As he rounded a bend, he caught a whiff of something unexpected - a human.

His instincts growled a warning, but his curiosity got the better of him. He crept closer, his eyes fixed on a figure huddled by the river. The human, a female, seemed lost and scared. Kael's hackles relaxed, and he approached her cautiously.

Aria, shivering with fear, sensed a presence behind her. She turned to face a pair of piercing yellow eyes. A wolf, towering and majestic, stood before her. For a moment, they locked gazes, and Aria felt an inexplicable connection.

"Please don't hurt me," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Kael's ears perked up, and he tilted his head. Something about her words struck a chord within him. He took a step back, his tail wagging slightly, and Aria saw a glimmer of kindness in his eyes.
