Elena's POV.Killian carried me all the way to my room, but when he got to my room door, he walked past it."Uhm... Killian, that's my room you just passed," I said.He chuckled and looked down to stare at me. "You can't use your legs properly, how do you expect to stay alone in your room?" "Killian, I can use my legs perfectly," I protested."You can't and I'm not letting you do that, plus, it's not safe yet, we do not know if Graham left his cohorts to finish up what he started, so until I'm sure everything is sorted, you will be staying in my room miss," he replied.I managed a little nod as he proceeded toward his room. I couldn't get hold of how I feel right now, my feelings were all over the place. I was torn between being happy to be staying in Killian's room and having him all to myself, and also being sad about it because there would be no way to communicate with Darius.Once he hears the news of my return he will surely report to my room. And I really needed to see him too
Elena's POV.I couldn't hold back the wide smile that broke out on my face as I watched them leave the doorstep.I never thought the flimsy plan would work out so easily but here we are.I stood back, making sure they were all out of sight before stepping out of the room and headed towards my room which was directly after Killian's.Just as my hands grabbed the doorknob, I had an immediate rethink. For a second, I didn't get the urge to speak to Darius so urgently, I had an entirely different direction in my head.Despite how hard I tried to fight the urge and walk into my room, I found my grip on the doorknob loosening and before I could stop myself, I was already speeding toward the maid's quarters."Narla? What's going on?" I tried to invoke my wolf but she was surprisingly quiet."Narla?" I continued to bug her as my steps swiftly progressed towards the maid quarters but I didn't get a response from her, except for the persistent push forward that I have absolutely no control ove
Killian's POV.I slightly pushed my eyes open to the most beautiful woman in the entire universe.Elena.She laid so purely innocent, her tiny hands wrapped tightly around me, while her gentle breath fanned me.It was the most amazing feeling in the world, one that I want to experience every day for the rest of my life. Waking up every morning with her safely encased in my arms knowing that she was all mine. I wanted it all. I wanted her all to myself. If only Graham hadn't interrupted, we would have been long done with the mating ceremony and she would be all mine, but that doesn't matter to me anymore. She has accepted the mate bond and she was all mine already. "You are mine, Elena, now and always." "I'm yours, Killian," I was startled to hear her speak, despite her eyes closed like she was still deep asleep."You are awake?"She smiled and slowly snapped her eyes open. "A minute ago," she replied.Surprisingly, I could tell there was something about the way she looked at me, it
Killian's POV.I stirred slightly in my sleep, the sun rays penetrating into the room through the window propped me to snap my eyes open.Surprisingly, I was the only one in the room. Killian was nowhere to be found.Where could he have gone so early?Deciding not to let that stress me further, I turned to the other side of the bed and squeezed my eyes back shut, he probably had a pack activity to run. Everyone has been on his neck lately about the duties of the pack that he had neglected for my sake, including Luna Drusilla.Taking in a deep breath, a wide smile spread out on my face as I reminisced our intimacy the previous day. Killian had refused to leave my side for a second all through the day.Every passing second was spent with our lips glued together, and our bodies rubbing gently against each other, shutting out every other complication that could come after.I had completely let my guard down and allowed myself enjoy the warmth of his arms knowing fully well that any second
Elena's POV."You don't have to kill Alpha Killian," Darius's arms around her neck tightened further as that seemed to provoke him. "Darius stop!" I yelled, though evidently careful not to raise my voice to the hearing of a passerby. It was the same velocity that had drawn Bonnie's attention."Let her go," I muttered in the softest voice I could manage. "Elena, we can't risk it, she knows everything,""Well, she has something to say," I replied. "Nothing that isn't a plot to get away and expose us," he said."Is that what you think Darius? Because she heard everything right from outside the door and she could have easily ranted us out without a single trace," He continued to stare at me without saying a word."Let her go please," Slowly, his arms around her loosened and he stepped away from her."So, you were saying?" I turned around to face Bonnie."I need to know who you are up against," she shrugged.I exhaled a deep breath, contemplating if it was wise to be totally sincere
Elena's POV."She can't do that, they are mated together," Bonnie chirped in.He snapped his head towards her, his gaze a blaring rage. "Stay out of this if you want your head still over your body." He turned around to face me, the once sweet smile returning to his face. "What do you say love?""Darius... Please.""You've got less than a minute to make up your mind, the key to his life now lies in your hands," he smiled.I couldn't hold it in any longer, streams of tears rolled freely down my cheeks.Darius had everything planned out already and I was caged in between. I couldn't let him kill Killian, neither do I want to leave with him.I wanted to remain here with Killian, with his help, find our kids, and live happily forever, ruling over the pack as one big powerful family. But that seemed to be a fairytale that would never make its way to reality. If only Killian hadn't banished me and thrown me out into the awaiting arms of Darius, maybe we wouldn't be going through this.Mayb
"Damn Elena, you are everything I want and more," he gasped as I rode him tirelessly.I flashed him a warm smile, leaning down to capture his lips in a slow kiss, conveying my love and as well as my pain through that one kiss. I tried not to see the moment as our last, but their was a tiny voice at the back of my head repeatedly reminding me of how soon it will all end. Once we leave here, it's all over.I could feel how weak Narla was, she was always excited to be wrapped around Killian's arms, but right now, she just laid quietly in a distinct corner sulking. At this point, there was nothing I could do. Darius was determined to end it all if I didn't do as he said. If I decided to outsmart him by telling Killian about the situation, it will get a lot messier and with my kids still locked away in a faraway land, any more complications wasn't needed. There was absolutely no way out anymore, I needed to abide by Darius's rules. I growled slightly as the taunting thoughts haunted my
Elena's POV.I watched in horror as Darius drew dangerously closer to Killian through the back, his hand clutching the dagger slowly raised in the air.How dare he try to betray me, I was supposed to leave with him in exchange for Killian's life, why then was he trying to turn the situation around behind my back? He wasn't prepared to spare Killian's life like he made me believe. He obviously didn't expect that I would be there at that moment, I couldn't believe this was his plan all along.I couldn't let him do it, this wasn't how we had it all planned out.In a split second, a sudden thought rushed through my head. What if I actually allowed this to happen? This could be the end of my miseries in a way, if I just turn away and let Darius end it all now, Aragorn would receive Killian's head and release my children freely and he would be out of our ways for good. But I couldn't!In a swift move, I dashed out of my hiding spot. This could probably be the most foolish step anyone woul
