Regis’s POV

By the window, I was sitting on a chair while Jasmine wrapped the bandage around my arms. Her touch was gentle as if she was sculpting a vase.

Dust floated in the air when I tilted my head and watched her white face brighten by the sunset coming from the open window. She was my beautiful Luna. The woman I pledged my love and loyalty to. My wolf desired no one except her, not until she left me and married Philip.

“It’s done.”

Her white fingers left my arms, and when she lifted her eyes, we gazed upon each other. Rich silence enveloped the narrow room.

“It was my father and Philip’s father,” she began to retell the story that caused all the mess. “They betrayed the Alpha of the Oak Walkers Pack and killed Hogan’s family and pack members. Then, Alpha Dave took Hogan with him and used him to strengthen the Blood Moon Pack. I found this out on my father’s deathbed. And Philip threatened me. He said that if I wanted to protect the Green Forest Pack, I should come with him
