Third Person’s POV

Max was brought into his room. And inside, Elizabeth healed his wound and removed the toxin from his body.

He survived.

When Elizabeth said that she would take her revenge, Max thought that Elizabeth would kill him. Far from his expectation, however, Elizabeth saved him from death.

Quietly, Elizabeth looked down on him from above.

She was dressed in another clean dress, and anyone who saw her would have known how beautiful she is. The King stood behind, leaning casually against the wall. His eyes did not leave Elizabeth and Max.

Before Max flew into a rage at Hogan's wrath, Max looked down at himself.

‘I looked pathetic.’

Gone was the pride he had always had, and Max smiled bitterly. Only now did he realize how far he had fallen.

Looking up at Elizabeth was like looking up from the bottom of an abyss. It was miserable to see his mate who had stolen his heart, but now there was nothing left. It had shattered into fragments and pierced his heart like shards of glass.
