Twenty two

Sydney's POV

After hours of being with him, I didn't want to leave. But the night was progressing and I didn't need to be told that he needed sleep. We talked about nothing most of the time but even in the silence, it was nice to be with him.

"You should go to bed," I suggested, getting up. He pulled my thigh, bringing me close again. For the past two hours, this had been happening. It was nice to be with him but at times I felt that everything was moving too fast, the way it had been that first day we met. His head dipped and I only managed to turn my cheek before he could get my lips.

"What…" he started.

"You need to rest. You'll have quite a say at work tomorrow," I reminded him. My lips said another thing from what my heart felt. If I wasn't someone who stuck to my word, my clothes would have been off by now.

To avoid making any mistakes I may or may not regret later, I let him go and bade him a goodnight. Settling into my bed when I returned to my room, my eyes closed and I drifte
