Hello Again

Scott rang the doorbell of a house in one settlement on the outskirts of town.

This house was just like the other houses along the road he had just walked. With white and cream colors, the front and side yard are quite broad.

To distract from the chaotic pounding of his heart and the rush of blood that seemed to stop and make his whole body cold, he looked in any direction but the door.

It was a comfortable living neighborhood, with large street-side trees, and wide sidewalks where pedestrians walk their dogs. A place that has the same comfort level as the Silvercrest territory.

There were footsteps from inside, and for a split second, Scott wanted to cancel all of this and immediately ran, jumped into his car, and stomped on the pedal gas as hard as he could.

His feet moved, but it was too late.
