Axel's POV Continued

I was standing outside the front of the packhouse, looking up at the sheer size of the place always seemed so natural, welcoming, yet now it feels daunting, overwhelming as I swallow deeply taking it all in.

I stood there for a few minutes, not trying to work up the courage to enter, but to just take a moment to remember that I had wonderful memories of this place, along with some of my worse one.

I had a wonderful childhood in this home, spending days with my mother as she would tell me stories or chase me around the house, I could still hear the laughs we shared together if I just listened hard enough.

The bad times of my father's jealousy, over me spending to much of my mother's time so she was away from him for longer than he liked. The way he dismissed me at times yet at others would dote on me just as much.

Looking back I can see that he only doted on me in the eyes of other, it was for his image not for showing true affection towards me o
