I was standing on a verandah, looking over the courtyard. The cool autumn breeze brushed against my skin, a welcome relief from the pressing responsibilities that came with my role as alpha.

As I stood there, my thoughts drifted to the approaching day that would forever change my life – the day I would finally unite with Astra as my mate.

I sighed in pleasure as I thought of the day I'd met her for the first time.
