46: The visit

I almost pushed Demian away from me because Jeremy's gaze pierced through me.

I felt uncomfortable. But I didn't have the energy to worry too much about it. Demian understood why I did it, but he didn't care about his ex-best friend's presence.

Jeremy handed me the glass of water in silence, and I drank it all. The doctors came to see me and told me they had no idea what was happening to me, so I had to stay in the hospital for a few days.

I refused.

They weren't going to solve my problems, and they didn't know what to do with me, so I preferred to be comfortable at home. Everyone disagreed, even Jeremy, but Demian sided with me. The vein in Jeremy's neck bulged with rage. But Jeremy relented and took me home on the condition that I be on an IV all day to keep my body functioning better. I had to accept.

Three days passed since I was discharged. Three boring days in bed. I felt useless not being able to do anything. They recommended rest. The doctors didn't want me to get out of
