Again with that mate crap.

I clenched my teeth and looked away.

Why are ladies so obsessed with this mate stupidity to the point they jeopardize their own identity, their very personality? They connect themselves with the fate of their mate, taking their own fates for granted.

I chuckled, and she tensed her brows.

I grabbed her hand. She stopped speaking and glared into my eyes, wincing.
