22. Utopia

[Amor’s POV]

She got up from me and ran to the lake. I bit my inner cheek and got up. Placing my elbow on my knees, I looked at her sob, squatting near the lake.

Why did she always ran to lakes to cry? Was that a coincidence, or did she find peace near lakes?

“When she says not to touch her, it means I can’t touch her. No, it means she is scared, and I need to give her some space.” I repeated her words to myself, rubbing my palm over my face.

“No means no.” I got up and hung my backpack on my back and picked up hers. Walking to her, I placed her bag beside her and held the reins of the horse.

She wiped off her tears. Ever since I met her, she had been crying. There hasn’t been a day when I had not seen her cry. How could a healthy werewolf cry so much? Maybe because she had the biggest reason for her tears standing right beside her all the time. I thought.

Clearing my throat, I said, “we should leave now.”
