Elizabeth POV “What?” I squeak out. Carter stands and walks around to me still holding the folder. “It looks like whoever was paying is based in the Palace of the Kingdom you were stolen from,” he says trying to instill calm in his words. “Why?” I ask feeling confused with this information. “That is what we need to find out. Kinsley POV I had walked off my anxiety trying to figure out why Stan was supposed to be important to me. And why a mate had suddenly turned up for him. How could I be his mate when he had one already? It hurt me to think of him with someone else. She was beautiful. Far more beautiful than I could ever hope to be. Why would he want me when he could have her? Hints of my past were starting to come back to me. I could vaguely remember another Pack. Another life. I was not one hundred percent, but I could see glimmers of my past. I could not see Stan yet, but I hoped that would come soon. I hoped it was as he said and not as it appeared after I saw that woman with him. Pack members were saying hello to me. I nodded and said hello, but I did not recognize them. I did not give any indication I did not recognize them as I did not want to cause panic among the Pack. I knew we had to have an Alpha and a Luna, but I had not seen them yet either.
