30. No More Secrets.

April's POV

I was frozen stiff seeing Dorian and Conrad at loggerheads with each other. I glanced at Paige and saw that she was trembling in fear.

This was definitely the only good thing about the entire thing. Watching Paige squirm in fear.

I watched Conrad leave with his bodyguard, and Dorian's eyes followed him angrily. The principal finally stepped out of his little hiding corner and turned to all the students.

"You may all proceed to your classes. This meeting is over."

Everyone began to rush out of the hall, and I quietly and sneakily slipped into the crowd to avoid Dorian's piercing glare. I had cleared my name, and I was happy that justice had been served, and it was all because of Lucy.

Walking through the crowd, I could hear people whispering and staring at me. But I wasn't ashamed this time because they whispered about how they shouldn't have doubted me.

For the first time in a long time, I could hold my head up high and walk among my classmates. I felt like a new person.
