Chapter 22

　　Zadie went through the entire formalities. A short seminar with Security, IT, HR, and she had her I.D. printed. Then she came to Liam\'s office and stops. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. The memories of the past passes through her mind like a revolving lantern. A woman screaming, tied up in a dark room… Climbing onto a window with a bulging belly… An expressionless patient lying on an operating table.

In the depths of Zadie\'s heart, a piercing pain passes by, as if an old wound was harshly scratched. Torn open, and blood is now flowing again. For three years, the scars deep in her heart have never healed.

Zadie opens her eyes. She remembers her training and exercises with her psychiatrist. Her eyes return to a sense of reason, as she raises her hand and knocks on the door. She is no longer Jane Jiang anymore.

\"Come in.\"

There was a deep, magnetic voice in the office, it felt so familiar and beautiful.

She walks in.
