Chapter 23

  As the door closes, the room falls into dim darkness again. Zadie did not turn on the light, step by step, she looms further into Quinn’s corner.

A night light on the wall sprinkles the room with a faint green light.

Quinn lives a pathetic squalid existence. After three years, her skin has withered and yellowed, her hair is dry and disorderly. And her body is bony and ghastly.

\"Sister, are you still living here?\"

Hearing her voice, Quinn’s body vibrates violently. She raises her head in disbelief and stares at the female figure in front of her. Her eyes quickly enlarge, her jaw drops but she never makes a sound, she hisses in horror.

Zadie says with a smile, \"Queenie, I\'ve come to see you.\"

\"Aaaaah! Ghostsss!” Quinn shrieks, she desperately shrivels her body to the corner of the room. She was in a state of confusion, shrinking and crying in horror, shutting her eyes as hard as she can.
