Zoey didn’t even try to hide her exasperation and rolled her eyes. Maurice’s eyes narrowed considerably in displeasure. However, it would be rude if he just walked past the old woman without acknowledging her. He’ll just ignore the granddaughter of the old woman.

“Good evening, Mrs. Desmond,” Maurice said and trained his eyes on the old woman, refusing to give the young woman beside her another glance.
