Chapter 27 - His Wife

Just as Clayton opened his mouth to explain, he saw Emerald's eyes flutter and opened. "You're awake!" He kissed her hand in joy.

Leonardo stood at once and went to her bedside.

"Dad?" Emerald wasn't sure if she was just seeing things.
