CHAPTER THIRTY TWO

The question, "Is this all right?" While Lanaya's legs were tucked in between Salvetti's, she asked. With her attention fixed on his collarbone, her hands rested comfortably on his shoulders. He sat there silently, his fists gripped on the chair armrests.

Was she trying to harm him? Had she stepped into his space uninvited?

After a lengthy moan, Salvetti opened his eyes.

A reversion to the original yellow color of the eyes.

She licked her lips nervously.

A stern warning: "Don't do it." He was on the verge of a snarl.

She dropped her guard and started to get to her feet, unsure what she shouldn't do. Salvetto's hands were on her hips in an instant, shooting a jolt through her. She froze, her hands gripping tightly on his shoulders.

"Stay." Muttering under his breath, he clenched his hands on her hips to emphasize his point. "Put your teeth down and stop biting your lip. Either way, I will not have to answer for what I do."

She shuddered, recalling how he had only said those very things
