Epilogue

The couple of years after we buried his body at the cemetery passed, but the pain was still here with me. All the days we spent together and the nights we shared with each other were nothing but beautiful memories of two hearts that were once one.

My tears crossed my pale face. As my hand lifted the glass I was holding, I suddenly smiled, looking at the city lights from the veranda.

“Why can't I get drunk? ”I asked myself.

In the years Marcov was gone, I was totally lost and nowhere to be found. I know we have kids I must take care of, but my eyes can't stand looking at them. Because they exactly got their looks after their father, Marcov, the man I loved the most.

Dorothy and Amirah never left me. They cleaned the veranda where I messed around. They took care of my kids. And they were keeping me from seeing the good side of life, even though I am blind.

Someone made me look beside me. It's his older son who really looks like him.
